I need to buy apples. I need to do the laundry. I need to wash the car. I need to get the dog detailed.

使用diff命令比较两个文件，如下所示–

linux@linux:~$ diff /home/linux/Desktop/file.txt /home/linux/Desktop/file1.txt

上面的命令应该给出如下所示的结果–

linux@linux:~$ diff /home/linux/Desktop/file.txt /home/linux/Desktop/file1.txt 2,4c2,4 < I need to run the laundry. < I need to wash the dog. < I need to get the car detailed. --- > I need to do the laundry. > I need to wash the car. > I need to get the dog detailed.

结果的选项应如下所示–

- 将文本添加到文件

c- 在文件中进行更改

d- 执行删除操作

< 从第一个文件开始的行

> 来自第二个文件的行

从输出中，2,4c2,4表示“需要更改第一个文件中的第2至4行以匹配第二个文件中的第2至4行”

让我们看另一个示例，两个文本文件应如下所示：

file.txt

I need to go to the store. I need to buy some apples. When I get home, Ill wash the dog.

file1.txt

I need to go to the store. I need to buy some apples. Oh yeah, I also need to buy grated cheese. When I get home, Ill wash the dog.

使用diff命令比较两个文件。命令应该像这样-

$ diff /home/linux/Desktop/file.txt /home/linux/Desktop/file1.txt

上面的命令应该给出如下所示的结果–

2a3 > Oh yeah, I also need to buy grated cheese.

从输出中，2a3表示“在第一个文件的第二行之后，需要添加一行：第二个文件的第三行”。
